Meet Your Physiotherapist
Hello, my name is Amy Pappas, and I am a physiotherapist with over eleven years of clinical experience.
I began my career in a busy trauma hospital, working across intensive care, surgical wards and rehabilitation. During this time, I sustained a knee injury myself, which sparked my interest in attending and later teaching Pilates.
Following a high risk pregnancy and the birth of my twins six years ago, my focus shifted toward women’s health, an area I have found incredibly rewarding to work in. I now practise exclusively in this field, providing physiotherapy consultations and education sessions for women and their partners throughout pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.
I also have a growing interest in supporting women through the peri and postmenopausal stages of life, using a holistic approach that combines assessment, education and movement, alongside collaboration with other treating health professionals.
Currently, I practise at Parkes Street General Practice in Helensburgh and work alongside Obstetricians Dr Sarah Chwah and Dr Christine Duong at Hurstville Private Hospital.
I am passionate about helping people feel strong, confident and supported at every stage of life, and I’m so excited to share my anatomy and physiology knowledge with you today.
